Registration and use of the library card:
To borrow materials from the library you need your medical card or a library card.
To get a library card you need a valid form of ID.
The library card is personal and nontransferable.
Every time you borrow materials you need to use your personal pin number.
If you change your address, your e-mail address or your cell phone number, you have to either report it to the library or correct the information yourself on the website.
If you live in another municipality the library may require a deposit when you borrow its materials.
If your library card or medical card goes missing, you must contact the library immediately. We will then temporarily nullify the card.
Children under the age of 18 may have a library card issued or use their medical card, if a parent or legal guardian fills out and signs a registration form. The form specifies that the parent or legal guardian vouches for the loan on behalf of the child.

Service information:
The period of loan is usually 28 days. For some materials, however, the period is 14 days.
If the loan period is exceeded the library will send you a reminder.
If you state your e-mail address or your cell phone number you will receive notification 3 days before a loan is due for return.
You can renew your loans provided that they have not been reserved by others.
You can renew each loan a maximum of 2 times.
A receipt is issued whenever you borrow or return materials.
Your responsibility:
You are responsible for the materials borrowed using your card.
Everything you borrow is registered electronically.
All materials available for loan are equipped with antitheft-protection.
If the loan period is exceeded, a fee is charged according to the pertinent rate scale (special rate scale).
Materials returned through the library's mail slot are not considered properly returned until they have been registered as such by the staff, and the borrower is considered liable until such happens.
If materials are either not returned or returned in a damaged condition, the borrower must recompense the library financially. The amount to be paid in compensation equals the price of purchase plus an added amount for preparation of the replacement materials for loaning as well as an administrative charge.
The library does not assume financial responsibility for damages occurred to the borrower's own electronic equipment while playing material borrowed from the library.
Items containing multiple volumes must be recompensed in full if a single volume lost proves irreplaceable.
Lost materials which have already been replaced can be returned to the library if found within 6 months. The amount paid in compensation will then be repaid minus the administrative charge.
The library retains the right of ownership of loaned materials that are not returned or have been lost.
Banning:
Library users, who do not respect requests made by the staff concerning peace and quiet or ethical use of the Internet, may be subject to expulsion from the library.
Library users who repeatedly fail to return materials on loan or return said materials in a damaged condition may be barred from borrowing 7 days after a written warning has been issued.
Library users who owe 200 DKK or more in outstanding fees will be barred from borrowing from the library until the outstanding fees have been repaid. The ban will take effect 7 days after the issuing of a written warning.
In accordance with the Act regarding library services § 32-34, the library may levy a distress upon fees if the amount owed exceeds 200 DKK.
